Cassandra Basler reports from the Bronx for NY City Lens. She is a recovering creative writer and a former public radio reporter from metro Detroit. Since graduating from the University of Michigan, she's written for 101.9 WDET, The Michigan Dream Restored Report, and Belle Isle to 8 Mile: An Insider's Guide to Detroit.
