ILLUMINATING THE RICH AND VARIED LIFE OF NEW YORK CITY

The Journey of Hope

Patrick Clark has run his stained glass studio, Sunlites Stained Glass, on Rockaway Beach for three decades. One of his most renowned works is creating new stained glass windows in the Cardinals Sacristy of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in 1995.

To Clark, making stained glass is more than a job. It is also a 1000-year trade that needs to be continued. There are not many training programs in the art of stained glass in the city, so Clark is always looking for promising young apprentices on his own.
