Many Catholics Remain Fresh Faced on Ash Wednesday

Catholics at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph in Brooklyn marked the beginning of Lent with Ash Wednesday celebrations on March 1.

Although the lines seemed long to get the black forehead smudge and reminder “from dust you came, to dust you shall return,” many have noticed fewer full pews.
