Move aside graffiti, a new form of street art is tip-toeing its way onto the scene–”Yarn Bombing,” covering objects or structures in a public place with yarn or crochet. For some reason, millennials seem drawn to the art form.
For example, London Kaye, a Brooklyn street artist, likes to put up her artwork on fences and trains for others enjoyment.
Recently, she has garnered the attention of major commercial brands requesting her crochet as well. Now, “Yarn Bombing” is Kaye’s main source of income, even though she says she doesn’t do it for the money, but for the love of crochet.
